3D Polygons

Add 3D extrusions in your Mapbox and Maplibre maps

Mapbox and Maplibre allow you to create 3D extrusions which are akin to normal polygons. You can see some examples here and here. With this, you can not only illustrate certain kinds of data through using height, but also create composite 3D shapes using multiple polygons. See an example at our example site here.

To create a 3D extrusion, go into Maps > Polygons and select "3D" from the dropdown Polygon Style. You can then edit the Color, Base Height, and Top Height. Note that Opacity is set to 0.75 (75%), since this cannot be set per-property in Mapbox GL JS. However, if this is a problem for you please get in touch with us.
